Former basketball player Michael Jordan has been known to make many shots during his NBA career. He is considered to be one of the greatest, if not the greatest, on the Chicago Bulls team and in the sport of basketball. MJ has played 15 seasons of basketball and 13 of them are considered to be part of the top 20 seasons, according to a statistical analysis.
Presented above is a chart that displays the percentage of Jordan’s free throws from the 1984-85 season to the 1994-95 season while he was playing for the Chicago Bulls team. The percentage is at an all-time high in the 1986-87 season, but seems to have been slightly decreasing in the following few years. The percentage was almost about the same for two consecutive seasons, in 1991-92 and 1992-93, but he still managed to led his team to a three-peat NBA Championships.
The following season of 1995-96, Jordan did not play in the NBA, as it is said he “lost interest in the sport,” (and this disinterest could have been a possible reason as to why his percentages were decreasing over the years)but he later returned for the next season. He seemed to have made a comeback, with a higher percentage than the last few seasons.
